What We Believe

We believe that there is one and only one living and true God, an infinite, intelligent Spirit whose name is JEHOVAH, the Creator and Supreme Ruler of heaven and earth; and that in the unity of the Godhead there are three Persons—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—equal in every divine perfection. John 4:24; Matt. 28:19; Eph. 2:18.

We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, fully God and fully man; that He died for our sins as a substitutionary sacrifice, rose bodily, ascended into heaven, and will return personally. All who receive Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood. John 1:1,14; I Cor. 15:3-4; I Thess. 4:14-17.

We believe that the Holy Spirit is a divine Person, equal with the Father and the Son; that He convicts of sin, is the agent of the new birth, and indwells, seals, guides, teaches, and empowers every born-again believer. He always testifies of Christ and never leads contrary to the Bible. John 16:7-11; Acts 5:3-4.

We believe that man was created in the image of God; that he sinned and thereby incurred physical and spiritual death; and that all are born with a sinful nature and become sinners in thought, word, and deed. Gen. 1:27; Rom. 5:12,19; Eph. 2:1-6.

We believe that salvation is the gift of God, brought to man by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, whose blood was shed for the forgiveness of sins—not earned by any good works. All who receive Christ are regenerated and become sons of God, and are kept secure in Christ forever. Eph. 2:8-9; John 1:12; 10:27-30.

We believe in the church, the Bride of Christ; and in the local church as a company of baptized believers associated for worship, evangelism, indoctrination, the observance of the ordinances, and fellowship. The two ordinances are baptism (immersion of a believer) and the Lord’s Supper. Reaching the world for Christ is the responsibility of the local church.

We believe in the imminent, personal, pre-tribulational, pre-millennial return of Christ; a seven-year tribulation; His return with His saints to establish the Davidic kingdom; the Great White Throne Judgment of the wicked; and the eternal, conscious blessedness of the righteous with the Lord. I Thess. 4:13-18; Rev. 20-22.
